Javier Gomez, Spain's champion triathlete, is now part of the phenomenon that has seen many top multi-sport athletes switch to using Suunto sports instruments to record their training and racing.
In his thus far glittering career, Gomez has won a whopping total of 11 ITU World Cups, is the reigning world champion and at the age of just 25, has an incredibly bright future ahead of him.
Gomez won the ITU World Cup series in 2006 and 2007, and looks set to win a third title in 2008. In Beijing Gomez picked up a creditable fourth place.
In 2003 he was under-23 World Champion and in 2007 became European Champion. At 2007's Hamburg World Championships he finished runner-up to fellow Suunto Ambassador Daniel Unger, but made no mistake this year in Vancouver, winning by a comfortable 24 seconds.

Keen to make use of Suunto's versatility, Gomez will benefit from being able to measure his seven different body parameters, including Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC), Training Effect and heart rate when coupled with a Comfort Belt.
Self-definable displays on the t6c allow Gomez to easily switch his t6c between cycling and running during his racing or training and all Suunto products have replaceable batteries - invaluable for an athlete such as Gomez who trains regularly and for long periods.
This will help him avoid overtraining and fatigue, especially when the t6c is paired with Foot and Road Bike PODs, which enable him to measure speed and distance on one log file. Revolutions per minute are also recorded when hooked up with a Cadence POD.
"I am looking forward to using Suunto for all my triathlon training," said Gomez.
"Javier Gomez is an exceptional young athlete and we are extremely proud that he has chosen Suunto to help him achieve his goals," said Markus Rampf, Suunto Sports Marketing Europe Manager. "Our sports laboratory-accurate sports instruments are perfectly suited to triathletes due to their superb adaptability."
Since entering the market just four years ago in 2004, the company's premium products have rapidly become the primary choice for endurance athletes of all levels. Among many others, current Beijing champions Emma Snowsill (AUS) and Jan Frodeno (GER) are Suunto users and enthusiasts.
